What it does
Switch between working out an exact age in years, months and days, counting days between two dates, or adding or subtracting days, weeks, months or years from a date.
Month-end dates
When adding months to dates like Jan 31, the result rolls over to the next valid date (so one month later is early March).
Frequently asked questions
Does it count the end date?
The difference is calculated from the start date to the end date, not including the start day itself — so Monday to Tuesday is 1 day.
How are leap years handled?
Dates are calculated using the real calendar, so leap years and varying month lengths are accounted for.
